Academy Sports+Outdoors Athlete of the Week: Jake Fromm

Our athlete of the week is Jake Fromm, a junior from Houston County. The son of Lee and Emerson Fromm, Jake is Sunmark-Adthe starting quarterback for the Houston County Bears football team. He has played baseball for the Bears for two years on varsity and three years on the varsity football squad. Fromm has won many awards during his time as a Bear, but he has one accolade that stands out: his commitment to the University of Alabama to play quarterback.

Jake sat down with Sportsmic to answer a few questions for us:

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours? Why?

Baseball, because I’ve played it since I was a kid.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose? Why?

Patriots, so I could hang out with Tom Brady and Gronk.

What is satisfying about your sport?

Getting the opportunity to outsmart the defense.

What was one of your “best” games as a player?  Tell us about it.

Veterans game last year, we moved the ball really well.

If you could let another person take your place as an athlete, who would it be? Why?

My little brother to take over, He is very smart and will do well.
