Warner Robins High nearly needed stadium seating to accommodate for its National Signing Day honorees Wednesday.
Eight Demons inked Letters of Intent to continue their education, as well as football exploits/accomplishments.
“They set the standard,” Head Coach Mike Chastain said. “I mean this group has led this football team in a mighty way this year. They set the bar high. That’s what Warner Robins football is all about and we need to find a way to keep doing that at Warner Robins.
Of the eight, linebacker Bobby Kelly signed with Georgia Military College, a liberal arts junior college with 15 campuses across the state. Last year, the Bulldogs finished 8-2.
Defensive lineman Jam’l Dillard signed with Lenoir-Rhyne, a liberal arts university in Hickory, N.C. He’ll bring plenty of help to the Bears, as they only finished 3-7 this past year.
Defensive back Julius Cobbs and running back Jaeven West both signed with the University of West Georgia. The Carrollton school boasts a Wolves squad that was 9-4 in 2017.
Outside linebacker/defensive lineman Dillon Braunstein and kicker Eli Mashburn are also headed to the same locale, as they signed with Fort Valley State University.
Outside linebacker/defensive lineman Chris Georgia signed with Murray State out of Murray, Kentucky. He’ll join a squad of Racers that was 3-8.
And last but not least, Jabari Miller will be staying a bit closer to home. He signed with Middle Georgia State.
