The Warner Robins High School Demons are not the only team that will be gunning for a state championship in basketball Thursday. The Houston County Sharks will be doing likewise.

In fact, they’ll be going for their sixth-straight basketball championship – that to go with the slew of trophies they’ve earned in handball and football.

The contest will be at 11 a.m. in the Macon Centreplex and be between the Sharks and West Georgia (which just happens to be the same team they beat last year, 41-26 in the finals). Houston County earned its spot with a 37-35 win over Clayton in the semifinals Saturday, while the Wolverines edged out Gwinnett 19-16 to earn their bid.

Also, the Sharks finished the regular season 6-0 while West Georgia closed at 3-3. (And a shout out to the Junior Sharks who finished 2-4.)

The game will be broadcast live on the Sportsmic App and,  download the Sportsmic App for Iphone/Ipad and Android/Android Tablet, press the Sharks channel, game action starting 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 8, 2018. From your desktop follow this link to listen to the Sharks on the Perry channel.
