Perry’s Tanner Reid took first in individual honors for the 18th annual Warner Robins Invitation held Tuesday.
He did likewise Thursday at the Bleckley County Invitational. Reid finished in 16:02.15 to help the Panthers finish third overall. They had 93 points in that regard, while Richmond Hill finished first of the 17 schools with 48.
Veterans was second for the boys with 64. Its top finisher was Aamiri Duckworth, who was sixth. He cross with a time of 17:30.52. Behind him – barely – was teammate Brett Horton. Horton finished with a time of 17:34.84.
Alex Trotter was Warner Robins’ top finisher. He crossed the line in 17:58.97. Overall, the Demons finished sixth. West Laurens was fourth with 95 and Bleckley County fifth with 158.
Northside was eighth with 232. Its top runner – of 256 in all – was Griffin Davey who came home in 18:14.
For the girls, Bleckley was first with 59 points. Richmond Hill was second with 60, followed by St. Vincent’s Academy with 102, Jones County with 119 and Jeff Davis with 179 – to round out the top five.
The Lady Warhawks were seventh with 188. Perry was eighth with 192. Northside was 13th with 376 and Warner Robins was 17th with 453.
Brynn Wilson was the best local finisher. The Veterans runner was seventh with a time of 21:52.98. Mikayla Wellborn for Perry was eighth with a time of 22:25.12.
