Warner Robins’ boys kept their unbeaten string intact Tuesday, with an 86-62 win at home over Westside. It’s a different story for the Seminoles, as they fell to 0-3.
The Demons led 19-12 after one and 44-28 at the break. The lead was 20, 63-43, after three, with the host outscoring its visitor 23-19 in the fourth.
Warner Robins’ girls also won, although it was considerably closer, 56-53. The Demonettes led 15-9 after one, but with a 20-13 second-quarter advantage, the Lady Seminoles pulled out front by one, 29-28. Both scored nine in the third, with Warner Robins enjoying a 19-15 advantage in the fourth.
The Demonettes thus improved to 4-1, while Westside fell to 1-3.
Elsewhere, Veterans hosted Houston County. The results were split, with the Lady Warhawks winning 55-35 and the Bears getting the victory 62-57.
The win also kept Veterans’ girls undefeated. They are now 4-0. Houston County’s girls dropped to 2-3.
The Lady Warhawks led 9-8 after one and 23-18 at the break. They pulled away considerably with a 17-10 advantage in the third; 40-28 at that point. Veterans then outscored Houston County 15-7 in the fourth.
For the boys, the Warhawks led 11-8 after one. Both scored 17 in the second to make it 28-25, Veterans, at the break.
Houston County then pulled out front in the third with 19 points versus the Warhawks’ 13. It then gained the edge in the fourth, 18-16.
Veterans dropped to 1-4 with the loss, while Houston County improved to 2-4.
