The Perry Lady Panthers picked up a big county rivalry win over the Houston Co Lady Bears at the Bears Den earlier today 45-41 to split the season series. Both teams made several errors throughout the game but Perry was able to get hot at the right time to overcome a 6-point second half deficit to pick up the win by using a well oiled fourth quarter.
The Lady Panthers improved to 5-5 overall while the Lady Bears fell to 7-5 overall heading into 2023.
On the boys end, the Bears of HoCo swept the season series over the Panthers by winning 64-50 at the Bear’s Den following the girls game. This game featured HoCo building solid leads with Perry cutting the gap down multiple times but for the Panthers they had issues at the free throw line & too much HoCo offense to try to cut the gap all the way down & the Bears pulled away to win 64-50.
The Bears improved to 6-7 overall while the Panthers fell to 4-6 overall heading into 2023.
