Demonettes to battle Kell in the State Championship Game tomorrow evening

The Warner Robins Demonettes are one win away from winning a state championship & the team that will battle them for the all the marbles tomorrow evening will be the Kell Lady Longhorns out of Marietta in Cobb County. The game will be played at the Macon Coliseum with the opening tip scheduled for 5:30pm.

How did the Kell Lady Longhorns get here:

Kell started the season off at 2-0 before dropping two of their next three games. Eventually Kell was 12-5 overall & then got on a current 13 game win streak where they currently sit at 25-5 overall & ranked #1 in AAAAA. The Lady Longhorns playoff run to get to the Coliseum looks like this:

A 69-23 win over Lithia Springs in Round 1, a 50-35 win over Hiram in Round 2, a 68-54 win over Bradwell Institute in Round 3, & a 56-37 win over Jackson-Atlanta in Round 4.

How did the Demonettes get here:

Warner Robins got off to a hot start this season by winning their first ten games before suffering their first loss of the season in South Florida. The Demonettes were later 15-1 overall before losing two of their next three games to sit at 16-3. Warner Robins ever since has won their last 12 games to sit at 28-3 overall going into tomorrow & are currently ranked #3 in AAAAA. The Demonettes playoff run to get to the Coliseum looks like this:

A 50-42 win over Statesboro in Round 1, a 55-43 win over Harris Co in Round 2, a 73-63 win over Midtown in Round 3, & a 62-53 win over Calhoun in Round 4.

Longtime Demonettes head coach Tom Mobley who amassed over 400 wins in his coaching career at Warner Robins; will be the play-by-play man for tomorrow’s broadcast. Broadcast is set to begin at 5pm.
