Demons’ late rally falls short; Panthers take care of Spalding

Warner Robins showed a ton of fight when they were down ten runs late in their region home matchup against Dutchtown as they cut the deficit in half before ultimately falling 13-8 to the Bulldogs last night. Dutchtown scored two runs in the first two innings to lead 4-0 going into the bottom half of the second.

The Demons got on the scoreboard with a run that was batted in thanks to an error & would later get a second run in to cut the Bulldogs lead in half to trail 4-2 going into the top half of the third. Dutchtown added three more runs to lead 7-2 in the top of the third & would eventually lead 10-2 after 3 1/2 innings of play. The Bulldogs added one run in the top of the fifth & two more in the top half of the sixth to push their lead to 13-3.

Warner Robins was able to end the game on a 5-0 run to trail 13-8 before falling to Dutchtown in their first of three region contests. Demons freshman catcher Chase Plank contributed to the five runs with an rbi single in the bottom half of the sixth.

Dutchtown improved to 3-10 overall; 1-3 in region play while Warner Robins fell to 2-13 overall; 0-7 in region play.

Elsewhere; the Perry Panthers made the trip to Griffin to play the Spalding Jaguars that resulted in a Panthers victory 14-3 to improve to 13-3 overall; 4-0 in region play while Spalding fell to 4-8 overall; 3-1 in region play.
