Northside football has entered a new era under recently hired head coach, Ben Bailey.  Originally from Pinehurst, Georgia (located in Dooly County), Coach Bailey grew up playing football, basketball, baseball, and running track.

He started his coaching career at Dooly Co High School,  later finding his way to Houston County High School where he helped develop talented players like Jake Fromm.  Coach Bailey was also on staff in Leesburg  for the 2018 state championship Trojans.

“We’re gonna try and pickup the tempo, try to control the game in terms of offense and run as many plays as possible, kind of keep the defense on their heels, so that’s the goal”

He would then return to HoCo where he served as a  coordinator under head coach Ryan Crawford.  Bailey spent last year  working with Coach Chad Campbell at Peach County where he was  offensive coordinator.

“Our vision is to graduate champions on & off the field” Bailey said in an interview with Sportsmic team member Todd Bailey (no relation).
When asked about the goal on offense & defense, Coach Bailey said,  “We’re gonna try & pickup the tempo, try to control the game in terms of offense & run as many plays as possible, kind of keep the defense on their heels so that’s the goal.”

“Continuing to get eleven hats and play physical, tough Northside football, defense is the goal, particularly trying to hold teams to four yards or under on first down, less than half of that on second down then third down, get off the field, whatever that takes” said Coach Ben Bailey.
