Six turnovers and a tough Crisp County defense combined to give Houston County its first loss of the year.
The Bears fell to 1-1. The Cougars improved to 2-0.
Field position went back and forth for most of the night. Crisp County got its first score on a 13-yard run by A.J. Lofton. It went for the two-point conversion but came up short. That was in the first quarter, and the only score during that period.
Its second score came with 9:19 left in the second. It came on a run by Marquise Palmer. The point after was no good.
The Bears scored 17 points in their first week win over Perry, but on this rainy night the endzone was not to be found.
