Perry sweeps regular season series against Spalding; Other results from this past week

The Perry Panthers finished the week strong by shutting out Spalding at home on Wednesday 3-0 & taking the three-game sweep with a 12-1 win in six innings in Griffin on Thursday. The Panthers currently sit at 15-3 overall; 6-0 in region play. They will take this upcoming week off & will return to action on Monday March 27th against Baldwin in Milledgeville at 5:30pm.

Northside had a rough week with three losses of 10+ runs…. an 11-0 loss to Mary Persons in six innings on Wednesday & then a doubleheader against Lee Co followed that resulted in the Trojans winning 11-1 & 13-1; both in five innings on Thursday. The Eagles currently sit at 3-15 overall; 0-6 in region play & will travel to Tifton next Tuesday to take on Tift Co at 5:30pm.

The Bulldogs currently sit at 8-5 overall & will take on Columbus on the road next Monday at 5:30pm. The Warner Robins Demons traveled to Hampton on Wednesday to play Dutchtown that resulted in a Bulldogs comeback victory. The Demons led going into the bottom half of the seventh 5-3 but errors doomed Warner Robins as Dutchtown tied the game up & sent it to extras where Warner Robins committed another error that resulted in the Dutchtown walk-off victory 6-5 in eight.

The Demons currently sit at 2-13 overall; 0-8 in region play after their home game against the Bulldogs failed to finish yesterday & will have to be replayed at a later date. For now, Warner Robins will prep to host the Union Grove Wolverines this Monday at 6pm.
