Dylan Fromm, Marcayll Jones and Deondre Duhart got Warner Robins out in front. Jahlen Rutherford helped it pull away.
Fromm, in the Demons’ 48-14 win at Baldwin, connected with Jones on Warner Robins’ first possession of the game. It was for 38-yards and with Cary Payne’s point after made it 7-0 with just over seven minutes to play in the first.
Duhart’s one-yard touchdown run with Payne’s PAT made it 14-0.
Baldwin cut that to 14-7 before Rutherford scored back-to-back. His first was from two yards out and the second from the 9. That pushed the lead out to a somewhat comfortable 28-7, which is where it stood at the half.
The Demons put together a 90-yard touchdown drive to start the third. It ate up nearly five minutes of clock and was capped off by a two-yard pass from Fromm to Christian Anderson. Payne made it 42-7.
The Braves cut it to 42-14 – still in the third. After some back-and-forth – punts, a fumble by Warner Robins, etc – James Smith finished off a short 48-yard drive with a five-yard run to make it the final.
With the win Warner Robins improved to 3-0, while Baldwin is still looking for its first after four tries.
