The HoCo Bears hosted Central Ga foe Peach Co earlier tonight in the 2025 Bear Brawl and the Black, Silver, and White dominated the Trojans by winning 70-43 to improve to 5-2 on the season. The host dominated from the jump as they would lead 21-11 after one and 42-20 at the half.
27 of HoCo’s 42 first half points were scored by Malik Gillespie who had 19 in the first quarter alone. The Black, Silver, and White pushed it’s lead to as high as 36 points in the third and would lead 63-31 heading into quarter four which ran at six minutes instead of eight since HoCo led by 30 or more points after three.
The fourth quarter was all garbage time for the host as they would play their younger guys and go on to win 70-43 to sweep the season series against Peach Co. (The Bears defeated the Trojans 50-42 a week ago in Fort Valley). Malik Gillespie led the Bears in scoring with 30 points followed by Josh Jackson with 16 points and the Trojans were led in scoring by Rowan Woodrich with 11 points.
HoCo will host undefeated Griffin tomorrow night to bring a close to the 2025 Bear Brawl in an all-Bears battle.
