DeVoursney hired by Veterans

Steven DeVoursney has been hired as head football coach of Veterans High School.

Coach DeVoursney’s  was the head coach at Griffin High School for fourteen seasons, coaching the Bears to a state championship in 2013.  He also spent seven years as head coach in  Cairo, Georgia, where he led the Syrupmakers to two quarterfinal appearances (2016 & 2018).  He grew up in Thomaston, Georgia where he attended Robert E. Lee High School and played for legendary coach, Tommy Perdue.

DeVoursney, who is the uncle of  Eric DeVoursney (Perry offensive coordinator), becomes the fourth head coach in Veterans High School’s brief history.
