The Veterans Warhawks held their inter-team scrimmage earlier tonight as the team continues through Spring practice and getting ready for their scrimmage against Harris Co next week. The Red, White, and Blue are looking to build toughness on the field as they prep for the summer and ultimately the fall when the season kicks off in mid-August.
Last season was extremely tough on the Warhawks as they went an abysmal 1-9 overall; 1-4 in region play with their lone win coming against county rival Northside 17-0 at the end of the season. Their four losses in region play were by an average of 49.5 ppg. This season.. Veterans has brought in Steve Devoursney to be it’s fourth head coach in program history as he looks to turn the program around.
The Red, White, and Blue will need the toughness if they want to compete in the region they play in that features county rivals’ HoCo and Northside along with Lee Co, Coffee, and Thomas Co Central.
