Warner Robins sweeps HoCo

The Warner Robins Basketball teams hosted county rival HoCo earlier tonight and the result was a Cardinal, Black, and White sweep of the Bears. The girls game saw the host lead from the get-go and held a 19-4 lead going into the second and would lead 35-16 at halftime.

The Lady Bears would outscore the Demonettes 15-14 in the third to bring the score to 49-31 Warner Robins going into the fourth where the Demonettes would keep the visitors at bay and win 64-38 to capture the season sweep of the Lady Bears.

Korveanna Slaughter led Warner Robins in scoring with 20 pts followed by Trintee Thomas with 15 pts and Tori Davis with 14 pts.

Kinley Snider led HoCo in scoring with 12 pts. The Demonettes improve to 8-1 overall and will prepare for their tournament series starting on Thursday while the Lady Bears fall to 4-5 overall and will host Jones Co on December 29th.

The boys game started off close until Warner Robins pulled away to lead 19-10 after one and 43-20 at the half. The host was able to hit a good chunk of their shots while the Bears struggled to make perimeter shots and free throws. The second half would be close with the Demons outscoring HoCo 35-33 to ultimately win 78-53 to snap their three game losing skid and snap the Bear’s six game winning streak.

Jay Johnson and Cam Perkins led Warner Robins in scoring with 13 pts each followed by Gabe Jacobs with 10 pts while HoCo was led in scoring by Devan Robinson with 22 pts. The Demons improve to 5-4 overall and will take on St. Anne-Pacelli on December 22nd while the Bears fall to 7-4 overall and will take on Williston on Thursday.
