The Mary Persons Bulldogs, the Perry Panthers, and the Warner Robins Demons are all looking to advance to the Semifinals tomorrow night as the GHSA Quarterfinals commence. The Bulldogs will host AAA powerhouse Cedar Grove at Dan Pitts Stadium as the Saints are ranked #2 and the Black, Gold, and White are ranked #3.
Cedar Grove has five losses but do not let that fool you as they played four AAAAAAA teams and lost to three of them in high-scoring affairs and lost two games to out-of-state teams. This game has the potential to be close throughout and the winner will will host the winner of Wesleyan-Calvary Day in the Final Four.
The Perry Panthers will travel to play the Stephenson Jaguars in De Kalb Co tomorrow night as the Maroon, Gold, and White are in their third Elite Eight appearance in four season and are looking to get over the hump and make it to Round Four. Perry will be a solid favorite but must execute as the Jaguars will look to knock them out.
The winner of this matchup will play at the winner of Starr’s Mill-Central (Carroll) in the Final Four.
The Warner Robins Demons will host the Creekside Seminoles as this will be the third consecutive season that these two have played in the Playoffs and the previous two were won by the Cardinal, White, and Black and this is the second consecutive season these two will play in the Elite Eight as Warner Robins walked-off Creekside with a FG in overtime last season and won 40-15 in 2021 in the Final Four.
The winner of this matchup will host the winner of Jefferson-Harris Co in the Final Four.
