Demons top rival Northside on Senior Night; Warhawks finish 2023 with dominate win over Sandy Creek on their Senior Night

The Warner Robins Demons hosted longtime county rival Northside yesterday evening for Senior Night which resulted in a Demons victory by a final score of 6-2. The victory was highlighted by Warner Robins senior Kendrick Jernigan hitting back-to-back jacks in his final home game of his High School Baseball career. The Demons improved to 7-18 overall while the Eagles finished their season at 3-27 overall.

Warner Robins travels to play Jones Co to finish their 2023 season and that game will start in a little over 40 minutes.

The seniors on the Warner Robins Baseball team are as follows:

Elsewhere, the Veterans Warhawks had their senior night yesterday evening as they hosted the Sandy Creek Fighting Patriots and picked up the 13-4 victory to finish off the 2023 season. The Patriots started off by plating two runs in the top half of the first and the Warhawks responded with one in the last of the first.

Sandy Creek added a run in the second and third innings to have four runs while Veterans plated one in the second and three in the third to lead 5-4. The Warhawks would pull away by plating three runs in the fourth and fifth innings and two in the sixth inning to win 13-4 over the Fighting Patriots to finish the 2023 season at 13-14 overall.

Seniors Tanner O’Neal and Colin Welford led the Warhawks in rbis with O’Neal having four and Welford having three. Veterans pitchers combined to allow four runs (three earned) on five hits, walking six, and striking out 10. Sandy Creek’s pitchers combined to allow 13 runs (seven earned) on 17 hits, walking one, and striking out four. PJ Green led the Fighting Patriots in rbis with two.
