The Jones Co Greyhounds were initially the 3-seed out of region 2-AAAA and would go on the road to open the Playoffs but after Stockbridge had to forfeit some games including their 28-21 win over Jones, the Purple, Gold, and White moved up to the 2-seed and will host in Round One this weekend. The Greyhounds will host a young school in the East Forsyth Broncos out of Forsyth County who is in their fourth season overall.
Jones Co finished 9-1 overall; 8-1 in region play and are averaging 34.1 ppg on offense and are allowing an average of 15.6 ppg on defense for a score differential of +18.5 ppg. Their opponent is East Forsyth who finished 8-2 overall; 4-2 in region play and are the 3-seed of region 8-AAAA. Their two losses came against North Oconee and Eastside who are both ranked.
The Broncos are averaging 30.3 ppg on offense and are allowing 18.0 ppg on defense for a score differential of +12.3 ppg. Both Jones Co and East Forsyth are unranked and the Purple, Gold, and White have not played a ranked opponent all season. The winner of this matchup will take on the winner of Warner Robins vs Marist in the Sweet Sixteen.
