MP head coach Brian Nelson picks up 100th win; other results

The Mary Persons Bulldogs had their home opener last night against the Haralson Co Rebels which resulted in a Bulldogs victory 35-14 and head coach Brian Nelson picked up his 100th career win as the Black, Gold, and White’s skipper. Mary Persons improves to 3-1 on the season and will have the week off next week and will return to action on September 22nd at the Columbus Blue Devils.

Haralson Co falls to 0-3 on the season and will host Upson-Lee next Friday.

The HoCo Bears traveled to Henry Co to play the Locust Grove Wildcats last night which resulted in a dominate Bears victory 56-12. HoCo junior QB AJ Hill had three TD passes in the first quarter as the Black, Silver, and White led 28-0 after one and led 49-6 at the half. The entire second half was played with a running clock and the final score was HoCo 56 Locust Grove 12.

The Bears improve to 4-0 on the season and will have next week off and will return to action on September 22nd when the Black, Silver, and White travel to The MAC to play the Warner Robins Demons while the Wildcats fall to 1-2 on the season and will host Jones Co next Friday to open region play.

The Jones Co Greyhounds hosted the Peach Co Trojans in Gray last night and the host won big 48-21 to improve to 2-2 on the season and will travel to play Locust Grove next Friday to open region play. The Trojans fall to 0-3 on the season and will host the Perry Panthers next Friday.

The Warner Robins Demons traveled to play the Valdosta Wildcats and lost big 45-12 to a powerhouse AAAAAAA team on the road. The Demons fall to 1-2 on the season and will travel to play the Dutchtown Bulldogs next Friday to open region play. Valdosta improves to 3-1 on the season and will host Coral Glades High School out of Florida next Friday.
