Veterans Football 2024 Spring Preview: Warhawks look to climb to an elite level

The Veterans Warhawks’ football team held their first spring practice of 2024 and they had a good first day as they continue the march towards the 2024 season this upcoming August. Last season, Veterans started off strong and fought eventual AAAA state champion Perry to the wire, falling 49-41 but then injuries would pile on at the quarterback position as they eventually went down to their fifth string quarterback by season’s end.

All of the Red, White, Black, and Blue’s QB injuries ultimately decimated their season as they would go 0-5 in region play and they got shutout in three of those games and also taking a shocking home loss to Tift Co. This upcoming season will be the Warhawks’ 15th season of play and their 2024 schedule is rated as the number one toughest schedule in the state of Georgia.

Veterans has eight more practices and then they will do a Red and White game next month and their goal is to climb to an elite level. To hear what head coach Josh Ingram had to say after practice, click the video down below.
