Williams selected to lead Eagles

The Northside Eagles football program has found it’s next head coach ,   Daniel ‘Boone’ Williams.   Coach Williams comes to Northside  from Langston Hughes High School (Fairburn, Georgia) where he had great success.  He became the head coach of Hughes in 2019 after coaching there for eight seasons.

The Panthers quickly became a state powerhouse under Williams’ leadership.

Over the next five seasons as Hughes’ head coach, he  lead his team to an impressive 61-9 record which included three trips to the state championship game (2021, 2022, and 2024). The 2022 Langston Hughes team won the GHSA AAAAAA state title,  going undefeated  and setting the state record for most points scored in a single season ( 792) (52.8 PGA).

Coach Williams joined the Hughes coaching staff in 2011 and is an alumni of Creekside High School. To learn more about Northside’s 11th head coach, click on the player below and listen to Coach Boone’s  interview with Sportsmic team member Todd Bailey.
