The Bleckley Co Royals hosted the East Laurens Falcons in the First Round of the State Playoffs and the result was a Royals’ sweep.. winning Game One 11-1 in five innings and winning Game Two 14-1 in five innings. Bleckley Co blasted the Falcons and leading the way in combined rbis were Brody Fleming and Walker Boatright with five a piece and Brady Brannon with four in the series. Boatright also hit a two-run jack to end Game One.
The Purple, Gold, and White plated eight runs in inning three of Game One and six runs in inning two of Game Two which were the most runs they scored in a single frame in each of the two games today. Bleckley Co improves to 22-9 on the season and will host the winner of Fitzgerald-Lamar Co in the Sweet Sixteen.
