Demonettes overpower Cedar Shoals to advance

The Warner Robins Demonettes tipped off their state playoff run tonight, hosting the Cedar Shoals Lady Jaguars in the first round of the GHSA AAAA State Playoffs.

It was all Demonettes from the opening tip. Warner Robins jumped out to a 6–0 lead, then extended it to 12–1, and carried a 19–11 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

After a strong defensive second quarter that saw the Demonettes outscore Cedar Shoals 8–2, Warner Robins took a commanding 26–13 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the break, the Demonettes made the necessary adjustments, turned up the defensive pressure, and shut down Cedar Shoals the rest of the way. Warner Robins pulled away for a dominant 59–25 victory to advance to the Sweet 16.

Laila Howard-Haney with 12 points

Kennedy Bradshaw with 11 points

With the win, the Demonettes improve to 23–3 on the season. They will host the Cartersville Lady Hurricanes on Friday, February 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the Sweet 16 round of the GHSA AAAA State Playoffs.
