The Veterans Lady Warhawks hosted county rival Perry earlier tonight and were able to pick up the victory 13-5 in six innings. The Lady Panthers led 4-3 after 2 1/2 innings before Maddy Kinkade hit a solo jack to center to tie the game at 4 in the last of the third and Rizzy White gave the host a 5-4 lead in the last of the fourth with an rbi single to drive in Mia Ward.
Veterans led 7-5 going into the last of the sixth where the Red, White, Black, and Blue would put the game away by plating six runs via a Hailey Maloney two-rbi single, a Maddie Dubbert rbi double, a Braylin Horton rbi single, and a Rizzy White two-rbi double to give the Lady Warhawks the 13-5 victory.
Rizzy White, Hailey Maloney, and Maddy Kinkade each led Veterans in rbis with three a piece while Ansley Bigler led Perry in rbis with two. Veterans improves to 14-1 on the season and will return to region play next Tuesday when they travel to play Lee Co and the Lady Panthers fall to 2-7 on the season and will open region play at home next Tuesday against Ware Co.
