The Perry Panthers hosted the Baldwin Braves at Herb St. John Stadium earlier tonight and the result was a 33-16 Panthers victory. Perry trailed 16-9 at the half but dominated the second half by outscoring Baldwin 24-0. The Maroon, Gold, and White improves to 7-1 overall; 4-0 in region play and will have next Friday off before traveling to Griffin to play the Spalding Jaguars in two weeks.
Baldwin falls to 4-3 overall; 1-2 in region play and will host West Laurens next Friday.
The Jones Co Greyhounds hosted the Dutchtown Bulldogs in another marquee region matchup and the final result was a close 35-28 Greyhounds victory. The Purple, Gold, and White improve to 6-2 overall; 4-0 in region play and will have next Friday and will return to action in two weeks when they play at the Warner Robins Demons in what will likely be the region championship game.
The Bulldogs fall to 2-5 overall; 1-2 in region play and will travel to play the Locust Grove Wildcats next Friday.
