The Warner Robins Demonettes hosted the Ware Co Lady Gators in the Region Championship Game and the result was a Ware Co upset victory 46-39. The contest was tight throughout it’s entirety with the largest lead being Warner Robins by seven in quarter one. Where the host lost the game was in the second half as they struggled big time to make a basket from the floor.
The Demonettes made only two baskets the entire second half and the Lady Gators who also struggled in the second half starting making some baskets down the stretch to pull off the 46-39 upset. Trinitee Thomas led Warner Robins in scoring with 17 points and the Demonettes will be the 2-seed while the Lady Gators will be the 1-seed in the AAAA State Playoffs. This is also the Demonettes’ first loss of the season falling to 24-1 overall.
