HoCo dominates MP with shutout victory

The HoCo Bears concluded their Round Robin Tournament at home against the Mary Persons Bulldogs earlier tonight and the result was a dominate 10-0 shutout victory in five innings for the Black, Silver, and White. The Bears plated two runs in the last of the first via a Vick Gann rbi double and a Noah Odom rbi single.

Odom added another rbi single to make the score 3-0 in the last of the third and he would steal home to make the score 4-0 in favor of the host. Ethan Kenney drove in a run but would be tagged out at third to end the third but HoCo pushed it’s lead to 5-0.

The Bears plated five runs in the last of the fifth via two wild pitches, an Isaiah Galason two rbi single, and a Kendall Jackson score on an error to end the game in five innings for a HoCo victory. Isaiah Galason and Noah Odom led the Bears in rbis with two a piece followed by Vick Gann and Ethan Kenney with one a piece.

Pitching for the host was once again strong as SP Tucker Hale pitched four innings and surrendered no runs on two hits, walking two and striking out seven in the process. Ethan Kenney relief pitched the fifth inning and surrendered no runs on one hit, walking none, and striking out two in the process.

MP’s three pitchers combined to allow 10 runs (nine earned) on eight hits, walking seven, and striking out three in the process. HoCo improves to 3-0 on the season and will host Hillgrove late Tuesday Afternoon while the Bulldogs fall to 1-2 and will host Ola Wednesday Night.
