The Mary Persons Bulldogs and Bleckley Co Royals were both in action on Wednesday in their Elite Eight doubleheaders with the Bulldogs playing at Peach Co and the Royals playing at Pepperell. The Black, Gold, and White led 2-0 and later 2-1 in Game One but the Trojans plated two runs to tie and ultimately win the game on a walk-off in the last of the seventh. MP would be shutout in Game Two by losing 3-0 to see their 2025 season come to an end at 19-16 overall.
The Royals won Game One over the Dragons 6-2 but would get blasted 8-1 in Game Two to force the winner-take-all Game Three which occurred earlier this afternoon and the result was a Pepperell victory 9-7 after Bleckley Co made a rally in the top of the seventh but would fall short in their rally. The Royals end 2025 at 25-11 overall.
