Bears obliterate Northside on the road to sweep the three game series

The HoCo Bears baseball team made the short trek to play county rival Northside earlier this evening and the result was a Bears’ obliteration 19-0 in three innings. Vick Gann got the scoring started in the top half of the first for the Black, Silver, and White by hitting a two rbi single to drive in Kendall Jackson and Isaiah Galason to make the score 2-0 Bears.

Ethan Buffone would follow suit with an rbi double that just missed being a home run to drive in Vick Gann to make the score 3-0 HoCo. Will Allen hit a two rbi single to drive in Noah Odom and Ethan Buffone to make the score 5-0 in favor of the visitors and Kendall Jackson would hit a sac-fly to drive in Will Allen to make the score 6-0 HoCo which would be the score going into the last of the first.

In the top half of the second, Eli Stephens continued the offensive onslaught by cranking a two run jack to center to drive in himself and Vick Gann to make the score 8-0 and Christian Wahiwe would hit an rbi single to drive in Ethan Buffone to push the score to 9-0 HoCo and Hudson Sherman would hit a sac-fly to drive in Troy Carpenter to make the score 10-0 and Christian Wahiwe would score via a Kendall Jackson hit that would result in KJ reaching via an error to make the score 11-0 Bears going into the last of the second.

In the top half of the third, Eli Stephens would crank his second two run jack of the evening, this time to left to drive in himself and Vick Gann to make the score 13-0 in favor of the visitors and Hudson Sherman would hit an rbi single to drive in Troy Carpenter to make the score 14-0 HoCo and Kendall Jackson would hit a two rbi double to drive in Christian Wahiwe and Hudson Sherman to make the score 16-0 in favor of the Black, Silver, and White.

Ty Waters would come into the game and hit a two rbi single to drive in Kendall Jackson and Isaiah Galason to make the score 18-0 Bears and Caleb Adkinson would come in and he would draw the rbi walk to carousel the bases to drive in Noah Odom to make the score 19-0 HoCo which would be the final score of the contest as the Eagles were unable to plate a run throughout the evening.

Eli Stephens led the Bears in rbis with four followed by Kendall Jackson with three, Vick Gann, Ty Waters, Hudson Sherman, and Will Allen with two and Ethan Buffone, Caleb Adkinson, and Christian Wahiwe with one. HoCo SP Tucker Hale pitched all three innings surrendering no runs on one hit, walking one, and striking out seven in the process.

The Blue, Orange, and White’s two pitchers combined to allow 19 runs (18 earned) on 16 hits, walking seven, and striking out one in the process. Both teams committed one error in the contest and HoCo improves to 10-3 overall; 3-0 in region play while Northside falls to 4-8 overall; 0-3 in region play and will travel to Macon to play CFCA next Monday while the Bears will host county rival Veterans next Tuesday.
