Bulldogs pick up low scoring region home win over Peach Co

The Mary Persons Bulldogs hosted Central Georgia foe Peach Co in the start of a critical region set and the result was a low-scoring 2-1 MP victory right before the rain came in. Tristan Hunt and Gavin Barr each had a rbi sac fly in the last of the second and the Trojans cut the lead in half of the top of the third and the rest of the game would go scoreless as pitching was on point throughout the contest for both teams.

The Bulldogs three pitchers, Cole Carr, Shivan Patel, and Tristan Hunt combined to allow one earned run on four hits, walking three, and striking out seven and Peach Co’s lone pitcher went the full game and surrendered two earned runs on three hits, walking six, and striking out four in the process.

Mary Persons improves to 13-9 overall; 6-1 in region play while Peach Co falls to 17-8 overall; 5-5 in region play and these two are slated to play in a doubleheader tomorrow evening in Fort Valley.
