Eagles snap losing streak; Royals handle Jefferson Co; other results

Wednesday saw Bleckley Co, Jones Co, Northside, and Warner Robins all in action with the Royals, Greyhounds, and Demons playing region games. Bleckley Co traveled to play at Jefferson Co and got a 9-2 victory after defeating the same team in Cochran 26-0 in three innings Tuesday Night. Jones Co hosted Stockbridge and lost 5-2 to lose their second consecutive region home game.

The Eagles traveled to play the Central Chargers in Macon and got the low-scoring 2-0 shutout victory for the season sweep and to snap an 11-game losing streak.

The Demons traveled to Savannah to play the New Hampstead Phoenix and got the region win 10-3. The Royals also played Monday down in Wilcox Co and lost the non-region battle 4-2. Jones Co also traveled to Henry Co on Monday to rematch region foe Union Grove and after getting shutout 7-0 at home last Friday, the Purple, Gold, Black, and White would win 12-7 to split the series.

On Tuesday, Perry hosted Ware Co and lost another one-run game, this time 7-6 to remain winless in region play. Northside hosted Coffee and lost 11-6 to bring their region winless streak to 55 in a row. Veterans hosted a strong Lee Co squad and lost 11-3 to bring their losing streak to five in a row.

Mary Persons traveled to play the Troup Co Tigers and lost 6-1 to remain winless in region play.
