Football Roundup: Royals win, Bears and Bulldogs fall

The Bleckley Co Royals took on Central (Macon) on the road Thursday Night and got the shutout victory 56-0 to improve to 3-6 overall; 2-6 in region play and will host Jefferson Co in a make-up game on Tuesday Night to wrap-up their 2024 season.

The HoCo Bears made the trip to Leesburg to take on the Lee Co Trojans and would lose a high-scoring contest 63-48 to fall to 0-11 all-time against Lee Co. The 48 points is the most the Black, Silver, and White have scored in a loss in program history. The Bears end the regular season on a 3-game losing skid and finish the regular season at 6-4 overall; 2-3 in region play and will be a strong 4-seed out of region 2-AAAAA.

The Mary Persons Bulldogs traveled to take on the Whitewater Wildcats and would fall 38-27 to finish the season at 2-8 overall; 2-6 in region play and the Black, Gold, and White will miss the Playoffs for the first time in 14 years.
