HoCo finishes regular season at 25-5 with strong win over Richmond Hill

The HoCo Bears hosted Richmond Hill earlier this evening after both teams could not play in Milledgeville and the result was a strong Black, Silver, and White victory 10-2. The first four and a half innings were tightly contested as the game would be tied at two a piece going into the last of the fifth.

Bears’ Noah Odom would hit a go-ahead solo jack to left to bring the score to 3-2 in favor of the host. Logan Elble would hit a two-rbi double to drive in Kendall Jackson and Vick Gann to make the score 5-2 HoCo and Isaiah Galason would score on an E2 to make the score 6-2 in favor of the Black, Silver, and White.

The host plated four more runs in the last of the sixth via a Kendall Jackson rbi single, a Vick Gann rbi single, an Isaiah Galason sac-groundout, and a Logan Elble rbi single to make the score 10-2 Bears and that would be the final score of the contest. Logan Elble led HoCo in rbis with three followed by Isaiah Galason with two, and Kendall Jackson, Vick Gann, and Noah Odom with one a piece.

Bears’ SP Will Allen pitched for three innings surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits, walking none, and striking out six while reliever Max Wilhide pitched the next three innings and surrendered no runs on two hits, walking none, and striking out one. Tyson Ganas pitched inning seven and surrendered no runs on no hits, walking none, and striking out one in the process.

The Black, Silver, and White finishes the regular season at 25-5 overall which is the second best regular season record in program history only behind 2023’s 26-4 record. HoCo now prepares for the second season which is the State Playoffs and that will begin next Wednesday against Jackson Co or Apalachee as both will play to decide that region series on Friday.

Richmond hill finishes the regular season at 17-12 overall and will take on Etowah next Wednesday in Round One.
