HoCo opens 2026 with shutout of Warner Robins

The HoCo Bears baseball team opened it’s 2026 season against county rival Warner Robins and handled business by shutting out the Demons 15-0 in three innings. Isaiah Galason plated the team’s first run of the season on a passed ball in the last of the first.

The host would plate eight runs in the last of the second via a score on a passed ball, a Peyton Nauss rbi double, another passed ball, an error, an Isaiah Galason rbi double, a bases rounding walk, and a Peyton Nauss two rbi single. The offensive onslaught by the Black, Silver, and White would continue in the last of the third as they would plate six more runs to win the game 15-0.

Peyton Nauss led the Bears in rbis with three followed by Ethan Kenney with two. SP Tyson Ganas pitched for two innings.. striking out five, walking none, and giving up no hits as well while freshman reliever Ja’khai Wilson made his high school debut by relief pitching inning three by striking out two, walking none, and giving up no runs and no hits.

Demons’ pitchers Drew White, Brandon Massie, and Chase Plank combined to allow 15 runs (seven earned) on seven hits, walking eight, and striking out one in the process. The Cardinal, Black, and White committed seven errors tonight as well. HoCo starts out the gate at 1-0 and will prepare for their first doubleheader of the season on Friday at home against a strong North Oconee team while Warner Robins opens 2026 at 0-1 and will travel to take on county rival Veterans on Wednesday.
