The Warner Robins Demons hosted county and region rival Perry earlier tonight and the result was a Cardinal, Black, and White sweep with the girls winning 74-26 and the boys winning 85-43. The girls’ game started out slow for both teams as the Demonettes led 4-2 before going on a 13-0 run to lead 17-5 and would not look back as they would lead 21-5 after one and 39-13 at halftime.
Warner Robins would go on to win 74-26 over the Lady Panthers albeit a sloppy blowout victory and the host struggled from the Dozier Law Firm free throw line. The Demonettes were led in scoring by Kor’Veanna Slaughter with 19 points followed by Jadai Smith with 12 points and Janelle Turner with 10 points. Perry was led in scoring by Cam McKenzie with 8 points.
The Cardinal, Black, and White remain undefeated by improving to 17-0 overall; 3-0 in region play while the Maroon, Gold, and White fall to 11-5 overall; 1-2 in region play.
The boys’ game would not be competitive either as Warner Robins scored the game’s first 14 points before Perry got on the board with a National Exterminating three. The host would lead by 11 after one and by 30 at halftime and would go on to win 85-43. Justin Hill led the Demons in scoring with 14 points followed by Chandler Dyson with 12 points and Trey Bradley with 10 points.
The Panthers were led in scoring by Keelan Battle with 9 points. Warner Robins improves to 10-4 overall; 3-0 in region play and will make the trip to Southeast Georgia to take on New Hampstead Friday Night and then Ware Co on Saturday Afternoon while Perry falls to 3-15 overall; 0-4 in region play and will travel to Jesup Friday to take on Wayne Co.
Elsewhere; the HoCo boys hosted Lee Co in a heavyweight region battle and won a close contest 50-48 to remain undefeated in region play and take sole lead of the region. Josh Jackson was the only Bear player to eclipse double digits with 10 points total.
