Panthers shutout county rival Veterans

The Veterans Warhawks played their first home game of the season earlier tonight against county rival Perry as both were back in action from having last week off and the result was a 38-0 Panthers’ shutout victory, a far cry from last season’s 49-41 Perry victory. The Maroon, Gold, and White took control of the game quickly by going up 21-0 in the first quarter and two of their touchdowns were from RB Ahmad Gordon who would be named the Reboot Hub Offensive Player of the Game.

The visitors would add seven more points in the second quarter to take a 28-0 lead in quarter two and that would be the halftime score. Perry’s Decorrion Daniels also had two touchdowns in the contest as his second would come in quarter three and the PAT made the score 35-0 in favor of the Panthers. Perry added three more points in the third when Carson Camp made a 32 yard FG to push the score to 38-0 in favor of the Maroon, Gold, and White.

The fourth quarter would see a running clock as there would be no score in the final frame as the visitors would get the shutout victory 38-0. Perry improves to 3-1 on the season and will host the East Coweta Indians next Friday while Veterans falls to 0-4 on the season and will make the short trip to the MAC to take on county rival Warner Robins next Friday.
