The Mary Persons Bulldogs hosted Trinity Christian earlier this evening and picked up the region victory 2-0. The first 2 1/2 innings would go scoreless before Brady Christman hit a solo jack to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead and later in the last of the fifth, Gavin Mitchell would score on a Lions’ error to push the MP lead to 2-0 which would be the final score of the contest.
Bulldogs’ SP Cole Carr pitched a complete game.. surrendering no runs on five hits, walking three, and striking out 10 in the process. The Black, Gold, and White improve to 4-11 overall; 1-4 in region play and will rematch Trinity Christian in Sharpsburg tomorrow evening.
