Warner Robins sweeps New Hampstead

The Warner Robins Demons hosted the New Hampstead Phoenix earlier this afternoon and evening and the result was a Cardinal, Black, and White sweep.. winning Game One 4-0 and winning Game Two 14-3 in five innings. The host plated two runs in the last of the first and plated one run in the last of the second to lead 3-0 after two innings of play.

Drew White would give Warner Robins a 4-0 lead in the last of the sixth when he hit an rbi double to drive in Blaze Griffin and that would be the final score of the contest. Drew White and C. Wilder were both responsible for the host’s two rbis in the contest. SP Kameron Lester pitched a complete game.. surrendering no runs on two hits, walking three, and striking out nine in the process.

Game Two would be decided in inning one when Warner Robins plated it’s first six runs via three bases rounding walks, two bases rounding hit-by-pitches, and a score on an error. Chase Plank would come up to bat and hit his first career jack, a grand slam that drove in himself, Blaze Griffin, J. Allen, and Chandler Dyson to push the score to 10-0 Demons. The host would take an 11-0 lead going into inning two.

The remaining three and a half innings would see an even 3-3 score with Warner Robins winning Game Two 14-3 in five innings to clean sweep the region series over New Hampstead. Chase Plank led Warner Robins in rbis with six followed by J. Hunter with two. The Demons improve to 9-4 overall; 4-2 in region play and will take a 5-game win streak down to Waycross next Tuesday when they take on Ware Co.
