Eagles dominate Howard; close out season tomorrow

The Northside Eagles delivered a commanding performance Tuesday evening, shutting out the Howard Huskies 10–0 to complete a season sweep and even their record at 14–14.

Howard threatened early, loading the bases in the top of the first inning, but failed to capitalize. That missed opportunity quickly shifted momentum in Northside’s favor. The Eagles erupted for four runs in the bottom of the first inning, setting the tone for the rest of the contest.

Northside continued to build its lead with two runs in both the third and fourth innings. After a quiet fifth, the Eagles added two more runs in the sixth to secure the run-rule victory.

Leading the way offensively was Taylor Hall, who finished with two RBIs to tie for the team lead. Hall also starred on the mound, tossing a complete-game shutout. The right-hander needed just 89 pitches to finish the game, striking out six batters while allowing four hits and three walks.

With the win, Northside improves to .500 on the season and carries momentum into its final game of 2026. The Eagles will host the Hawkinsville Red Devils tomorrow in a rematch as they look to close out their season on a high note.
