The Jones Co Greyhounds traveled to North Georgia to play the Adairsville Tigers on Saturday in a doubleheader and the Purple, Gold, and White got swept by the Tigers losing Game One 9-4 and getting shutout in Game Two 9-0 to fall to 5-8 overall. Jones Co will return to region play this Tuesday at home against the Ola Mustangs.
Adairsville will return to region play at home against Ridgeland on Tuesday. With the conclusion of the Greyhounds’ games Saturday, we are officially halfway through the GHSA Baseball regular season with five of ten weeks completed. The second half of the regular season commences tomorrow with rivals Northside and Perry playing at the Panther Pit.
