Mercer University release:
Mercer Athletics has announced the second in a series of community partners for each home game for the 2022 football season. On Sept. 17, in a game pitting the Bears against The Citadel at 6 p.m. in the first Southern Conference game of the season, it will be “Warner Robins Day.”
“We are fortunate to be surrounded in Middle Georgia by some wonderful communities who support Mercer whenever an opportunity arises,” said Daniel Tate, Mercer associate athletic director for external operations. “We are excited to pay tribute to Warner Robins at one of our home football games this season and thank them for their partnership in support of the Bears.”
Mercer football has been recognized in three preseason polls for the upcoming 2022 season: College Football Network tabbed Mercer at No. 16, Athlon Sports has the Bears at No. 17 and Bluebloods placed MU at No. 18.
“It’s an absolute privilege to partner with such a valued institution as Mercer University for Warner Robins Day at the upcoming football game against The Citadel,” said Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda W. Patrick. “The people of Warner Robins value hard work and athleticism, and we know first-hand what it takes to make a champion. I can’t think of a better way to showcase the wonderful attributes of our community, its businesses and our people. Go Bears!”
Members from the Warner Robins community will be recognized throughout the game. The Warner Robins community can purchase discounted tickets by using the code “ROBINS” at this link.
Season tickets available
Mercer football season tickets are available and can be purchased by clicking here. Because of a limited supply, fans who are encouraged to contact the Mercer Ticket Office at (478) 301-5470 or (478) 301-5217 as soon as possible to secure a place at Five Star Stadium for Coach Drew Cronic‘s third season with the Bears.
