Middle Georgia Coaching Legend Robert Davis

Each month, Coach Mobley will sit down with these local legends to discuss their career milestones, football insights, and personal inspirations. This month, Coach Mobley talks one-on-one with retired Coach Robert “Bob” Davis.

During his career, Robert “Bob” Davis racked up 36 seasons, more than 350 wins, two National Championships, and three state titles as a head football coach. In 2011, the retired coach was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. Coach Davis spent 24 of those illustrious seasons with the Warner Robins Demons, winning state championships in 1976, 1981 and 1988 and national championships in 1976 and 1981.

During his tenure as Head Girls Basketball at Warner Robins High School, Coach Mobley amassed 416 wins, as well as coaching football, track, soccer, volleyball and tennis. These days, Coach Mobley is focused on his work and ministry with the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) in Middle Georgia, covering a 5-county areas.
