The Mary Persons Bulldogs hosted the West Laurens Raiders and lost 13-5 and fell to 1-1 on the 2024 season. The game was scoreless through the first three innings until the top half of the fourth inning where the Raiders absolutely exploded on offense by racking up 10 runs in that half inning alone.
The runs were scored via a two-rbi double, another two rbi double, an rbi single, an rbi via a sac groundout, an rbi single, another rbi single followed by another run scored via an error on the same play, and a third rbi double in that inning. The Bulldogs would outscore West Laurens 5-3 the rest of the game to fall 13-5.
Mary Persons will travel to Gray tomorrow to play Jones Co while the Raiders open 2024 at 1-0 and will travel to Kathleen to play Veterans tomorrow.
