Perry opens season with rout of Warner Robins

The Perry Panthers opened their 2024 season against county rival Warner Robins earlier tonight and the result was a 10-0 Panthers shutout victory in six innings. The Panthers scored four runs in the first, and two in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

Perry had six hits via five different players and four of them recorded at least one rbi in tonight’s contest. The Maroon, Gold, and White used four different pitchers that surrendered a combined three hits, walking two, and striking out seven in the process.

Warner Robins had only three hits and their pitchers allowed a combined 10 runs (eight earned) on six hits, walking nine, and striking out eight. The Panthers open 2024 at 1-0 and will go to Savannah this weekend for a tournament beginning on Friday against the Effingham Co Rebels followed by the Calvary Day Cavaliers later that day.

The Demons open 2024 at 0-1 and will host the Baldwin Braves in their home opener next Monday.
