Ginn & Preston power Perry over Schley Co

The Perry Panthers hosted the Schley County Wildcats from Ellaville on Tuesday night and pulled away late for an 11-1 victory in five innings.

Perry held a narrow 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the third before breaking the game open. Reid Ginn delivered the big blow with a two-RBI double, giving the Panthers valuable insurance runs and extending the lead to 4-1. Perry continued to build momentum, adding two more runs in the third inning, one in the fourth, and four additional runs in the fifth to secure the run-rule win.

Ginn led the Panthers offensively with four RBIs. Brady Preston contributed three RBIs, providing key support at the plate.

On the mound, starting pitcher Zach Herman turned in a strong complete-game performance. He went five innings, struck out five batters, and allowed just one unearned run.

With the win, Perry improves to 5-6 on the season. The Panthers will make a quick turnaround as they travel to Ellaville to face Schley County again tomorrow.
