Greyhounds and Bulldogs get high-scoring wins; other results from Tuesday

The Jones Co Greyhounds and Mary Persons Bulldogs were both in action yesterday evening and both teams got high-scoring victories over their opponents. The Greyhounds hosted Locust Grove in a region battle and won 18-10 to sweep the Wildcats and improve to 10-1 overall; 6-0 in region play. Noah Robinson led the Purple, Gold, Black, and White with six rbis and hit a two-run jack in the last of the fourth.

Jones Co will host Union Grove in a region battle tomorrow evening. Elsewhere; Mary Persons made the trip to Dexter to take on the West Laurens Raiders and got the high-scoring blowout victory 17-8 to snap their 7-game losing streak. Gavin Barr had five rbis to lead the team highlighted by a two-run jack in the top half of inning five. Bradley Hendricks had a strong offensive performance with four rbis for the Bulldogs.

The Black, Gold, and White improve to 3-9 on the season and will return to region play tomorrow evening as they host the Troup Co Tigers and Mary Persons is currently 0-2 in region play. Results from Tuesday:
