The Warner Robins Demons hosted the Locust Grove Wildcats in a region contest earlier tonight and the result was an 11-2 Wildcats victory. The visitors went into the final inning up only 3-1 until they kicked the doors open with an eight run top half of the seventh to lead 11-1 and the Demons plated a run in the last of the seventh but that would be all they would get as Locust Grove put the game to bed to win 11-2 to sweep the regular season series against Warner Robins.
The Demons fall to 4-11 overall; 0-8 in region play and will travel to play the Union Grove Wolverines in a region doubleheader tomorrow. The Mary Persons Bulldogs hosted the Tift Co Blue Devils earlier this afternoon and the result was a high-scoring Blue Devils’ victory 9-8 and what put the visitors over the top was a seven run top half of the sixth.
Mary Persons falls to 6-8 overall and will travel to play the Morgan Co Bears tomorrow.
On Tuesday, all seven of Sportsmic’s teams played and HoCo’s contest was already written yesterday so here is the results from the other six teams… Jones Co hosted Ola and got shutout 9-0, Mary Persons hosted Vidalia Heritage and won 9-4, Northside hosted Tift Co and got shutout 19-0, Perry hosted Howard and won 11-1 in five innings, Veterans got a big region series opening victory over Lee Co 7-1 on the road behind Noah Fries’ complete game on the mound surrendering one run on three hits.
Warner Robins hosted Union Grove and lost 6-1. Current records:
