Perry sweeps Warner Robins

The Perry Panthers closed out their regular season in dominant fashion Thursday, sweeping a doubleheader against the Warner Robins Demons with a pair of decisive wins.

In Game 1, Perry’s offense overwhelmed Warner Robins from the start. The Panthers scored at least three runs in each of the five innings played, piling up 19 hits on their way to a 21–3 victory. Defensive struggles plagued the Demons, who committed six errors in the opener. One bright spot for Warner Robins came from senior Chase Plank, who delivered a solo home run to right field.

Game 2 followed a similar script. Plank again contributed, briefly tying the game at 1–1, but Perry quickly regained control and never looked back. The Panthers surged ahead and secured an 18–2 win in just four innings. Warner Robins’ defensive issues continued, with eight more errors in the nightcap. Panthers’ Nate Sullivan combined for five rbis.

With the sweep, Perry finishes the regular season just one game under .500 (14-15) and carries strong momentum into next week’s state playoffs. Meanwhile, Warner Robins concludes its season with an 8–17 overall record, ending 2026 on a 10-game losing streak, looking to regroup after a challenging finish.
